I seem to have a bit of an addiction to buying lipsticks at the minute! When I've looked through all of the ones I own, they seem to be pretty much all the same kind of colour, apart from the odd few.
I do have a few that I always reach for that I know work for my skin tone:
I love pinks and nudes, I want to say especially for spring and summer BUT I have recently purchased a few berry and purples which I'm totally in love with. They'll no doubt be in upcoming 'weekly favourites' because they're so pretty!
Anyway, back to my current favourite lipsticks:
Left to right:
* MAC Innocence Beware £13.50
* 17 Mirrorshine Beehive £4.59
* Covergirl '405' (bought at a random make up stall for 99p)
Left to right:
* Sally Hansen colour comfort lip colour Baby pink (make up stall 99p)
* Sally Hansen colour comfort lip colour Soft Orchid (make up stall 99p)
* Rimmel lasting finish Pink Blush £4.99
Left to right:
* Maybelline colour sensational Ambre Rose £7.19
* MAC lovelorn £13.50 (it snapped!!! *sad face*)
* Collection 2000 lasting colour sweet tart £2.99
No doubt my favourites will all change again soon, I'm just so fickle :P

Weekly favourites....
Weekly faves time again lovely people. I really don't have that many this week because I bought the maybelline color tattoo in 'on an on bronze' and have been looooving it, so that's basically the only thing I've been wearing this whole week.
First up is the Maybelline color tattoo in on an on bronze £4.99 I'll definitely be posting a rave review about this bad boy!!

I've been wearing MAC's eyeshadow in blanc type all week as a highlight, and the odd day I wanted a little something extra I wore MAC's Phloof and mystery each £10.00 each in palette form:
For lips, I've been keeping them simple and nude using MUA lovehearts tinted lip balm in Great lips £2.00:

Battle of the nudes....
Everyone loves a nude lippy right? There's so many to choose from though; cool tone, warm tone, brown under tones, pink under tones and some that just make you look dead......not a great look. So which do you choose?
I raked through my lipsticks and pulled out all the nudes I own and wanted to see how they compare, let the battle commence:
The low down:
* Cost - £13.50
* 3.0g
* Cremeshhen finish
* Smells of vanilla
* Very pigmented
* Not as glossy of a finish as Innocence beware
* Lasts around 1 hour and a half
* Sleek, sturdy black packaging
* More of a pinky nude

Mini haul....
I had to pop into town this afternoon after work, and of course I couldn't pass all those shops without buying something, right?? Here's what I bought:
First up grey bag from Internacionale was £16.99 I got it for £9.99!! :D
What haul would be complete without a little MUA? :P
I've read so many tweets and blogs raving about their lipstick in shade 7, so I had to buy it.

I'd been eyeing up their mosaic blusher in 'English rose' for so long, but my superdrug was always sold out. Finally got it today, £2.50

And last but not least I picked up a small bottle of perfume from marks and spencer's. I had this a few months ago and loved it, then whilst in there today noticed they do a 10ml bottle for £3.50 which is perfect for on the go :)

Review: Vivo lengthening mascara....
Last vivo review, their lengthening mascara. I want to say I left the best until last, but I really didn't. Quite the opposite in fact. I picked this up to try because it was only £1.50 and I wasn't expecting all that much from it to be fair, I mean for the price it wasn't exactly going to work miracles right?
The bad, the bad...and the bad:
* Cost - £1.50
* 6ml
* Very runny
* Cheap packaging
* Excess mascara runs down the tube after each use
* Need at least 3 coats
I know this product was only £1.50, but when you spend money on something you expect it to be better than this right?
Anywhooo I still like the brand, this hasn't put me off :)

The lowdown: The consistency of this is quite runny which I don't like, I know a lot of mascara's can be quite runny and start to thicken slightly after a week or so, but this just seems like it will always be runny. I needed 3 coats of this to even look like I had any product on! I'm one of those girls who likes big long lashes, and even if I applied the whole tube of this I don't think I'd get those lashes. It does lengthen slightly, which is what it says it will do, but I need a little volume from a mascara too and I didn't get it from this.
As for the packaging it's pants! It's cheap plastic and I definitely wouldn't feel OK with travelling with this, it would probably crack and the mascara would end up everywhere. I noticed too when I was using this, each time I place the wand back into the tube, any excess mascara would end up pumping out of the tube and running down the outside. I had to wipe it clean after each use, which meant I was losing product every day.

Review: Vivo baked bronzer....
Another vivo review for you all. This one, unlike the eyeshadow trio, I'm a bit on the fence about. Whilst looking through the vivo collection in Tesco, I noticed they had a few baked bronzers and blushers. I really don't need any more blushers (we all know I'm not going to stop buying them though!!) and I don't like all that much shimmer on my face, especially where bronzer is concerned, I'm more of a matte gal. But I did get my eye on a really light bronzer in 'healthy glow shade 3' and it seemed way too light for a bronzer so I bought it and thought to myself I'll try it out as a highlighter.
Let's start with the actual product. It's quite powdery but with it being so light and used for a hightlight the fallout doesn't really bother me. It doesn't give that much of a glow, compared to Benefit high beam and the collection 2000 highlighters I use, this is more of a warm toned subtle glow and still quite pretty, but i like my highlighter to be more light and bright. I do think it would give more of a glow on tanned or darker skins because it has an orange/golden undertone to it.
I wouldn't recommend for bronzing or contouring, it's far too light and shimmery for contouring and too golden for bronzing. I think I'd end up looking like a disco ball if I used it for anything other than highlighting.
The good, the bad and the awful:
THE GOOD:
* 12g
* Packaging is sturdy
* £5.00 (good for the amount of product)
THE BAD:
* Only available at Tesco extra
* Too light for a bronzer
* Very subtle highlight
* Quite powdery
I won't be repurchasing this again, but it hasn't put me off vivo cosmetics. 2/5

Review: Vivo eyeshadow trio....
A friend of mine at work told me she had bought some of the vivo cosmetic range from Tesco and totally raved about the eyeshadows. She knows I'm a total make up junkie so told me that I should give them a try, so I did :P The only problem is, my Tesco is just the plain Jayne of Tesco's and only Tesco extra sell the vivo (as far as I know) But luckily enough, whilst I was in London a couple of weeks ago there was a huge Tesco that stocked it *happy Stacey*
I picked up three things so will be reviewing them all, but firstly I'm going to rave about the eyeshadow trio:
I bought it in 'sugar plum' and absolutely adore it!!
The palette consists of three colours : a light baby pink, a medium purple and a dark purple. I'd say this was a warm tone palette, except for the light pink which seems to be a neutral. My skin is cool toned so I can't usually wear warm tone shadows, but this works really well for me. The two purples are really pigmented but the light pink doesn't show up very well but works as a good base colour and adds a little wash of colour over the lid. All shadows are blendable and stay put when used with a primer.

The palette itself is quite sturdy and ideal for travelling with as it's so compact, and it comes with a small mirror which is always handy.
The good, the bad, and the awful:
THE GOOD:
* Cost - £2.50
* 4g of product
* Avaialable from Tesco Extra
* Small and compact
* 3 shadows, many looks
* Stays put with a primer
* Blendable
THE BAD:
* Light pink not very pigmented
I'll be hunting down a Tesco extra and buying more of these to try, really impressesd with the colours and pigmentation for the price. 4/5
