MUA Heaven and Earth palette look....

Time for something a little more neutral, and a little more wearable. This time I used the MUA Heaven and Earth palette. I love he colours in this!

Again, I apologise for the mass amount of freckles!

* I applied MUA eyeshadow all over the lid, up to the brow bone

* Next I took the lightest shade and place this under my brow for a highlight

* Taking the second colour in on the bottom row, I applied this all over my lid and took it just above the crease

* Next I applied the last shade in that same row, to my outer corner and blended it up into the crease

* Last I took the forth colour along and placed this along my lower lashline

* Finishing off the look with MUA liquid liner, and Clinique high impact mascara

Bright eyes part deux....

Again using the 88 palette....who needs sunshine when you have eyeshadow??? :P

I have a RIDICULOUS amount of freckles!!!!! :/

Hoke cokie time for some sunny colours:

* I applied NYX all over the lids, again to make the shadows last and pop

* I added the white to my tear duct area, to open up and brighten my eyes

* Then I placed the second skin toned shadow own, on my brow bone as a highlight

* Next I packed the bright yellow onto the inner half of my eye

* I then packed the third orange down onto the outer half of my eye, making sure the orange and yellow were blended

* Time for the lower lashline, I took the second bright pink (in between the purples) and place that along my lower lashline

* To make sure all colours were blended, I added the a skin tone shadow into the crease

* I added a splash of MUA liquid liner along my upper lashline, and a 2 coats of Clinique high impact mascara

I fear I'm going to have very sore eyes by the end of the night :p

Hey there bright eyes....

Once I get in the mood to play with make up, I'm pretty much in that mood all day. This time I created a looked using the 88 colours palette:

* First I applied NYX jumbo eye pencil in 'Milk' This acts as a base and helps the colours pop

* I then took the 5th skin colour from the bottom of the palette as a highlight under my brow bone

* Next I used the lime green colour and packed it onto the inner third of my eye

* Taking the bright green directly under the lime green, I then packed it onto the centre of my lid

* Then I applied Jade green shade the my outer third and brought that up slightly above my crease, making sure to blend

* In order for the colours to look blended, and to stop there being a harsh line between the lid colours and highlight, I took the mint green above the lime green and blended this into my crease

* For along my lower lashline, I took the second blue up from the bottom and applied this to the outer half

* Then using the light aqua colour, to the right of the lime green, I applied this to the inner half. Making sure both colours blend in the centre

* I then applied MUA liquid liner along my upper lashline and Clinique high impact mascara

I love using this palette, you can do so many looks with it, the colours are really pigmented AND it's really cheap!

More looks coming up :D

Playing about with eyeshadow....

So the weather pretty much sucks right now, so I decided it's the perfect opportunity to have a play about with my make up. The first look I came up with was using MUA:

The shadows I used:

* NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk all over
* Shade 1 as a highlight

* Shade 27 (gold) on the inner half

* Shade 7 (green) on outer half

* Second brown on bottom row of heaven and earth palette to blend into the crease

* Shade 24 (plum) along bottom lashline

* Shade 5 (black) liquid eyeliner
* Jemma Kidd I-Glamour mascara

The colours are SO much more pigmented than what they actually show on the very first picture, I just have a rubbish camera :)

Review: Jemma Kidd - I-glamour volume mascara....

Another free gift with a magazine that I promised to review, the Jemma Kidd I-glamour volume mascara.

The claims:

'Give lashes added volume, definition and care with Jemma Kid I-glamour volume mascara. The mega black formula is enriched with vitamin E and glycerin to help condition and strengthen lashes, whilst providing the perfect texture to coat and lengthen with every application. The shape of the brush is perfectly designed to hold and deliver the right amount of product, add essential volume, length and separate upper and lower lashes with ease.'

Do I agree? ABSOLUTELY!! My first impression of this mascara was WOW! This does exactly what it says it will, it lengthens, separates and gives volume and that was just with one coat! It didn't clump at all and the wand managed to coat every single lash, upper and lower.

 I have only one gripe with this; after a few hours I noticed that this started to flake slightly and I ended up with speckles of dry mascara on my cheeks, and the slight look of a panda (not really that bad). To be honest, I think that I can look past this because I genuinely think that is an amazing mascara. I'm in love with Clinique high impact mascara, and I think that this comes a very close second place. Do I think it's worth the money? Yes! If you can still get hold of 'Red' magazine, I'd say pick one up for sure and give it a go.

The lowdown:

* Cost £15.00
* Lengthens and adds volume
* Doesn't clump
* Coats every single lash
* Does tend to fall after a few hours

Holy grail item #2....

Time for another Holy grail item.

This time:

Real techniques stippling brush:

I fell in love with brush the first time I used it. I've already written a post totally raving about this, so I haven't got much to add other than GO AND BUY THIS BA BOY! I want to go out and buy more of these in case they stop making them, or mine breaks or something. I can't believe that I've only just bought this, it gives a flawless finish which I love. Another thing about this, is that it dries SO quickly. I deep cleaned it this morning, and it dried super fast compared to my e.l.f flat top brush which took like a day to dry.

The lowdown:

* Cost £11.99
* Available from boots and online
* Gives a flawless finish
* Fast drying
* Allows a quick and easy application

Holy grail item #1....

I sat thinking the other day about which products I'd consider absolute must haves and that I think of as my holy grail items. I've watched countless videos on this and there are so many different things that people 'couldn't live without' so I thought I'd play too :) These won't be in any particular order, because if I'm honest I need them all in my life :P

First up:

Revlon colorstay foundation

I LOVE this foundation! Over the years I've tried so many brands and formulas and never found one that I've used and thought 'WOW' or repurchased time and time again......until now. I think this is my fifth bottle of this, I don't even consider trying out anything new because I know that this works so well for me.

The coverage is medium - full (I find), it blends so easily, it lasts all day and the best thing about this is that it comes in two formulations: combination/oily and normal/dry, so it caters for everybody.

I love this so much, and find it works so well that this is the foundation I'll be buying for my kit.

The lowdown:

* Cost £12.49
* Comes in combination/oily AND normal/dry
* Available from superdrug, boots and online
* Great coverage
* Long lasting
